How long after tracking shows my order was picked up by PSA, does it take for them to add it into their system showing it was received? I am at almost two weeks now. Is this the norm? This is my first submission.

Totally normal.
The turnaround time ‘clock’ on your sub starts the day after it is logged.

Two to three weeks is pretty normal at this time. Their intake of submissions has been at record levels during the past year or two.
I had my first submission experience this past month, so I’ll be happy to write down the the details for you to have a recent example.
I chose the 8-Day Express service for $79.00 given the card I had submitted, and the time frame I had in mind for selling it. From the day it left my hands at the P.O. to the time I received it back was 22 days
It was a bit surprising.

I'm sure it's not what you were looking for but that's not horrible. Figuring the 8 days are "business days" we know there is a weekend...possibly 2 in there depending on the day it is logged. Probably 2 days shipping there and 2 days back and maybe 3-5 days to log if they don't get to it right away. Much better than the actual 150 or so days people are waiting on bulk submissions that have a 65 day estimated turnaround.
Having a multitude of staggered grading times makes it hard for PSA to give people a close approximation of their order. I think if i were them, I would simplify the process (number of options), and maybe even limit what can be placed in each order ( i.e. issues from 1981 through 1990 go to one set of graders, issues from 1991 through 2000 go to another set). These limits help the graders become more knowledgeable about their issues and make the training of new graders more efficient (the grader doesn't have to know about 50 years of cards only 10 or so).
Oh, you’re 100% correct. I realize that the time frame wasn’t that bad at all, comparative to other grading options. However, you are further correct in stating that when I paid that somewhat hefty price to grade a card, I did not think “8 Day Express” would equate to over 3 weeks
Hence my surprise. It’s interesting to me because I’m comparing it with comic book grading, prices, tiers, and time frames.

My last few submissions have been logged in within a week so they are getting them into the system quicker in recent months.
Collecting 1970s Topps baseball wax, rack and cello packs, as well as PCGS graded Half Cents, Large Cents, Two Cent pieces and Three Cent Silver pieces.
Most of my recent orders (November to December) were logging in less than 5 days from delivery. Strange thing recently, had a 15 day normal single card order take about a month to get back in hand and a 40 day dual service single card grade and ship in under a week. Talk about crazy. Times are definitely getting quicker especially on small personal orders. Bulk still seems to be lagging behind a little. It improving.
