Coinstar Jackpot

MrSpudMrSpud Posts: 4,498 ✭✭✭

I just found these in the reject slot in Walmart. There’s a 54s dime, coins from about 8 different countries and a possible clipped planchet nickle. Do you think the nickel is PMD or a clipped planchette?

Pretty good circulation cameo on that dime.

Any circ coin + silver = fun find!

Overall that Coinstar is a good one, all kinds of world “rejects.”

WOW.......what a haul! My Coinstar finds have been zero for awhile. That last silver I got was a 1964-D Dime.

Time to start a World Coin Collection?

    Congrats on the silver.

Nickel is clearly PMD - no way for that to happen during minting.

I am sorry but I do not have any pictures but I check 4 different Coinstars in my area when I am in the different grocery stores and I have found a lot of foreign coins some from England, Mexico, Spain, Poland, Germany, France and one I think from Russia, and many from Canada, and I even found a 1958 Roosevelt silver dime, and a 1942 Mercury dime at another grocery store that I have not been to in 5 years now. And my last non foreign coin from a Coinstar machine was a coin from the Philippines.

And 2 years ago in December I found $4.80 cents in all pennies and my Dad and I think that they came out of someone's collection because they were all in very nice condition or almost uncirculated condition. And then in the $4.80 in pennies there were 35 pennies all were Wheat pennies from the late 30s, 40s and 50s.

Interesting finds. I think the nickel is damage not a clip.
