@ricko Thanks for the article. It is sad that Mr. Lutz will never realize the true (?) value of his find.
The cent is currently at the low 6-digits $ at HA.
My dad tells me he owned one for a short period of time in the 1980's - It was given to him as a $30k down payment on some large fruit warehouse deal he was working on.
When I asked what the hell he did with it, he cannot recall. He's fairly certain he sold it but doesn't remember who or how.
Yeah, I told him what it'd be worth today had he kept it...

@mr1874 .... That surprises me.... sure, not a high grade coin... but one of the more fabled rarities....I thought it would go much higher, certainly above 500K....I was wrong....again... Cheers, RickO
