"Winvest" plastic coin holder
I recently pulled these three CC Morgan Dollars out of my safe deposit box where they have been sitting for the last 35 or so years. They seem to be nice MS grade coins with minimal bagmarks and my inclination is to have them graded by PCGS. But before I do so I'm curious about the holder they are in. I looked on Ebay and Google but have not found anything similar. Can anyone tell me anything about this "Winvest" plastic coin holder? Is it perhaps a somewhat uncommon novelty that I should leave intact...or not so much? It is somewhat old and interesting and any insights into this would be appreciated. Thanks!

If it helps they came in this box which says Capital Plastics on it.

Was winvest an investment company? https://www.linkedin.com/company/winvest-investment
Paper money eventually returns to its intrinsic value. Zero. Voltaire. Ebay coinbowlllc
Yes I believe they were. My grandfather did some investing with them and I think he was the one who originally purchased or "invested in" these coins.
Capital made a lot of coin holders and I think they still do. They are nice holders, but any real value would be in the coins. Depending on what your grandfather spent he may have done well.
Thank you Smudge. I appreciate your reply and insight into this coin holder. I don't know how much my grandfather paid for these coins so I will never know if he made a good "investment" or not, but they are very nice looking CC Morgans and so based on your assessment of the value of the holder (or lack thereof), I think I will take them out and send them to our host.
You can always reuse the holder
Nice looking Morgans... Is the center coin a CC also? Could not see it in the OP and it does not enlarge....Let us know how the grades turn out.... Cheers, RickO
