I believe the mint mark “D” might be doubled, also the “8” In the date and in the words “liberty” and “trust”. On the reverse side there is a dot on each side of the word “States”..? and “United states of America” and “E PLURIBUS UNUM” appear to be
doubled to me. thoughts please!?

Hard to tell if there is a RPM due to the corrosion. These are the known RPMs, http://varietyvista.com/02b LC RPMs Vol 2/RPMs 1987D.htm
There are two DDOs listed, http://varietyvista.com/01b LC Doubled Dies Vol 2/DDO 1987-D.htm DDO-001 has a medium spread on LIBERTY. DDO-002 has a spread in the date. Do not quite see either. Take a look at the Variety Vista pics for comparison.
Also, the discoloration appears to be the start of zinc rot and if so, spend the cent and keep it away from other coins.
That greenish crud under the mm is not helpful. Lots of pmd to go around. Maybe some md on a few letters. Study varietyvista and doubledddie and lincolncentresource.com

Have seen many of the ADDed bullets. But one thing bothers me and that is the coin seems to have the same pattern as the cloth behind it in photos.
I see die deterioration and the early stages of zinc rot.
