I have never seen quite this long of a die crack around the circumference of a Buffalo Nickel. Akin to a Morgan or a Bust Half.

I seem to see some of it by LIBERTY (and above it). That obverse looks like it is near extinction, with rough fields and evidence of a clash.
It's the perfect candidate for a crack like that.

It does look different, it has a real thin rim all around the coin on both sides. I feel you are right @ricko
