2019 Year of the Customer at PCGS

Excerpts from the President via CC email. Check your email.
“...I hereby declare 2019 to be the "Year of the Customer" at PCGS.
To start, there will be no pricing increases to our core services for 2019. Instead, we have been able to decrease our shipping costs through process improvement and we are thrilled to pass those savings on to you. The new reduced domestic shipping rates will be reflected on our services and fees page starting January 2nd, 2019....
Sincerely,
Brett Charville
President, PCGS”

Forget about the pricing issues, that is nothing. I love the fact a real grader is in charge of the hen house. We can only hope he makes a dent in the evils of the grading of bad coins from bad people-that would be best for everyone!!!
Gotta give them a fresh start in all respects
I would like to see at least a few words of explanation. Why 69 and not 70. "Rim ding at 9 o'clock obv" "Rub on cheek obv" "Scuff eagles breast rev" Aren't you puzzled you got a 69 and can't see why? Minimal effort and time needed. Could be on the returned copy of the Submission Form...the label on the slab is crowded enough.
Does that mean presidential review service will be a thing again if you're in the know? Maybe a question that should be asked in q&a soon.
I have to give Charville credit; he does seem to have more gumption and is more proactive than his predecessor. I truly hope he isn't hindered by institutional bureaucracy and the corporate board. I wish him well.
The new President is certainly becoming more visible and interactive. Could be some interesting things in 2019.... Cheers, RickO
