Friday metal porn, Barcelona edition

Got to Barcelona and all of 2 blocks from our hotel was a coin shop. Had to pick up a piece of something.

Walking around and stumbled on a couple more coin / bullion shops totally random. Saw some 10oz Aussie kooks in a window, asking price 305€ ! Totally should have brought some stuff to trade.

Did see a trade dollar in the window of one place, asking 20€, figured it was fake. If we happen to pass back by it I might pick it up.

Another place was asking 30-50€ for modern libertads that we’re fairly beat up.

Totally surprised to actually see quite a few places selling coin/bullion as in Madrid we never ran into any place with coins or metal. Peddlers by the Barcelona cathedral and stores there in the gothic quarter had some coins. Neat to see.

Nothing new to speak of. Old pictures will have to do.

Some nice stuff guys.... I wish I had found some coin shops when I lived in Portugal... Lived there a couple of years... Lots of work....did not do much hobby wise over there. Probably some missed opportunities. Cheers, RickO

I took a 1oz gold maple to commie china. I went into a swank "gold" store with lots of 24k artwork all around.

they offered back of melt. :#:p:o

Been walking and shopping with the wife ALL day. Got back down to the gothic quarter by the cathedral and picked another piece up. Figured for 20€ I couldn’t pass it up....when in Spain right.

I have some more work to do in perfecting my gold scrap refining. Mostly in the washing process. The "emerald" bar is 1.1ozt agw, its only 98.5% pure with silver as the contaminant. The other bar is 1.6ozt agw, 97.5% pure, its contaminant is copper. About 30 carats of fun shiny white stuff, most is .2 to .4 ct.

Awesome picture! I love that Emerald.
