That 1924 Peace dollar looks like it has deep purple and blue hidden in that black field and if it has good luster, which it appears to have, then I suspect it has amazing eye appeal in-hand.

You may benefit from a monitor tweak if youre seeing too much black here. On a calibrated 4k I can see nothing but the purples and blue you mentioned, So you are right but shouldnt be seeing any black. Just poorly lit purple greens and blues. I'll get better pics of it in hand but sounds like you may have your contrast or brightness a bit off.
