One thing I won't celebrate is 20,000, since I was there years ago. This is just deja vu.

Was talking with a fellow half dime collector this evening and we were remembering half dime collectors who are no longer with us. Dwindling bunch we are :(

The fellowship of the coin this past year has been a special bond between correspondents. Mostly in good cheer and jest, along with some misunderstandings which hopefully got ironed out. I am looking forward to the next year of exchanges, both physical and verbal between friends of the coin. Thank you @Paradisefound for stirring up the notion of "it's better to give than to receive". I have found myself reciprocating, but not quite at the level you are doling out.

When I worked at a pet shop I had a Half Moon Conure that was my baby. My parents wouldn't let me keep her at home so she lived at the pet shop while I worked there. There was even a special day at school when I was able to take her to school with me. She stayed on my shoulder all day. I'll never forget the day I had to sell her. She was my bird and would have nothing to do with anyone else. The people that bought her brought her back the next day. They strolled across a long walk in the parking lot in freezing weather with her in an uncovered cage. I tried for 2 days to save her but I couldn't. :'(

I dealt over 1000 customers this X-mas eve. And I would assume minimum of 800 customers shopping for sparkling wine at the last moment this new year's eve. BTW, I dislike sparking wines because those bottles are the heaviest! :#

We've had three birds in our home! Cockatiels. Casper, Cosmos, and Mimic. Cosmos was a cool bird, he'd do a fly around the room and then return to my shoulder! Casper had a white face and Mick was a singer!!!!!!

Does Mango have favorite toys? My parakeet liked to ring small metal bells with his beak.

I didn't know this was the bird forum, we lost my mother's ~75 year-old Severe Macaw early this year, it outlived her by 5 years. He had wing damage from before we got him and couldn't really fly but one time he flew down and beat the hell out of my mother's dachshund...funniest thing you ever saw. (No animals were harmed in the making of that thought).
