Yep... you got it right. 1969-S is a coin that has some pretty neat examples of the mechanical doubling effect. And I agree... nice pics, worth a thousand words in trying to describe a coin.
Yea, that cheap little Opti Tek Scope is effective, I think I paid $80 for it. However, its a bit shaky when trying to hone in and the focus knob is on the main scope. But it works.
