My very 1st NT ASE arrived yesterday from a CU friend
I am currently on the blasting white pact with @ricko but this maybe a new beginning to venture out for the colorful site

He said the very same air he breathes maybe responsible of the toning process and it now resides in the PF office 'breathing' the same (higher humidity) air I breath

The iridescence of the blue toning is what makes me love this ASE.
I bought it from forum member @CarlWohlforth (R.I.P.) and sent it in to our hosts.

The only Silver Eagles I have are pocket pieces. This 2015 is probably the nicest of the bunch. I started carrying it in 2017.

Not much but there is some blue around the rim in places.

Much too dark for my tastes but certainly a change of pace for you congrats on the new addition. I only have a couple of these and I live in an area that's much too dry for them to gain color yet so no photos to add to your thread.

Well...based on that degree of toning, he must have some serious sulfur in the air "he breathes". You might want to be careful PF that your uber-clean air doesn't reverse the toning...

Yes, the plain brown ones. Pulled from the center of a group of 5. Hands washed so no grease
Last time I looked maybe 6 - 8 months ago there was a light yellow just starting. I didn't date when I started the experiment but it has to be a couple years ago.

I used to have so many of them, sold all my graded ones but keep the toned PCI slabbed ones
and a few toned proofs. These are difficult to find.

@Paradisefound ...Better get that one in an airtite or self slab..... If it continues it will move toward black and you will lose all the color. Cheers, RickO

I double checked my experimental toning trials this morning. I was mistaken. The Taco Bell napkin one does not show the yellow toning. I was keeping these in an "air tight" plastic pill bottle and moved the Taco Bell test to outside that bottle. I am not using ASE's but Prospector 1oz pieces from Provident.

The one that showed the yellow toning had gotten darker than I remembered. It was using a circle of news paper that had no ink. One piece for each side. Sorry for the soft focus from a hand held phone.

I gotta try this AT thing. Silver is so low. I'm gonna snag a few ASE at a local pawn and experiment. So taco bell napkin and heat, taco bell and the bathroom moisture, taco bell and outside in sun. Where else? I need other suggestions. Peace Roy
