kitco for metals first and foremost.
I'm buying on the ask and selling on the bid.
other metals not on kitco will need a quote source.
I see greek bonds were played in 2017. that's fair game as long as I have a quote source.
# 1 winner will get a Silver Eagle ex: Painted

Successful Trades: Swampboy,
I didn’t realize that JCP was almost dead pricewise already so change it to PRTA short to keep this fair. It may not make it another week above a buck

Hmmm...to actually try to lose....or continue, unsuccessfully, to score big and be the top gainer....
I'll come back to this...
I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment
USLV, again
"Interest rates, the price of money, are the most important market. And, perversely, they’re the market that’s most manipulated by the Fed." - Doug Casey
Buy a deep out of the money call or buy a deep out of money put. It most likely will expire worthless. There is no reason why someone trying for last place cannot find a trade that would result in 100% loss.
Knowledge is the enemy of fear
The prize for last place has somewhat weirded the annual investment contest threads.

Since there can only be one winners, folks tend to find comfort in sharing a loss. The old misery like company thing. In one respect, it's why gold bugs cheer for other assets to decline.
Knowledge is the enemy of fear
there are side bets.
generally middle of the pack and last place get a prize from someone else.
Perhaps coming in 1st is thought to be it's own reward.

Maybe everyone should get a wheat wheat cent as a participation award.

It takes the sport out of it.
The way I'd run it is the winning stock would be the one with the lowest stock price that didn't go bankrupt. If one wanted to increase the sportiness, you could add other factors like the stock has to be a minimum of $1.00 at the the end, or you could set a minimum starting price for the stocks to be considered for this category, such as $5.00. My pick for this year was at $6.70 at the entry and was not in any "trouble" (meaning it wasn't in bankruptcy or being heavily sued) at the time.
It's like the game limbo, how low can you go without hitting the pole or falling over.

corrected.
