Do we know where the very first graded and slabbed PCGS coins are at this time? Do they still exist? Inquiring minds want to know. Peace Roy

I am guilty of having 1st Generation slabs reholdered due to cosmetic issues; scratches, cracked plastic, etc... nowhere near the first run off the grading table.

    I believe a search will illuminate a thread that includes a Census. I have one . . . .

Now, if someone has the very first coin graded.... THAT would be a treasure....not likely to still be around though...Cheers, RickO

I talked with someone "in the know" who claims he knows where it is but hasn't come through with the proof yet.

Just hope it didn't got lost with all the PCGS turnover......

Is this the first slabbed PCGS coin? Plugged in the obvious #1000000 in the cert lookup. No TV.

I agree, using the old way back machine which is all the wonderful people on CU, who are engaged and consistently provide pieces to the puzzle that is a history of coin collecting. Group hug.
