I used to own one from that submission #6245317 which was a 1943 in ms66.

I may be to picky but the stain on the L may hold it back from 7.

The brub would be a deal breaker for me if I was buying the coin and not the holder.

The light spot on the breast is likely a toning spot from storage and there is a similar spot on liberty’s branch hand. The coin was likely dipped at some point, as well, which can also cause this. I like it as a 66 in that cooler holder.

That comes across to me as rub [which is so commonly seen on the circulated ones] from the pics. Maybe the OP will clarify.

Great eye @Walkerfan and @BAJJERFAN. Tiny rub on breast evident with 10X.

great looking coin and unique holder!

  • RayboRaybo Posts: 5,339 ✭✭✭✭✭

Holder schmolder, the 66 on that doily is "weak" IMHO.
Where in the heck are the images of the ANA holders?

  • johnny9434johnny9434 Posts: 29,221 ✭✭✭✭✭

    that's a nice pick up, I like

  • thefinnthefinn Posts: 2,657 ✭✭✭✭✭

I think the OP mentioned that these were being sold to a dealer, not bought from one. So, nice pick up for someone else.
