New camera, plus the first coin I imaged with it

Just got a Canon SX-70 superzoom model yesterday, a nice upgrade from my older SX-40. Being a Canon user, the learning curve wasn't all that huge, though the new one has wireless, bluetooth and other neat features I'm sure I'll look at later. The coin I imaged is the final year of the Seated half series, 1891. I couldn't pass this one up from Gerry Fortin! It's graded AU-53.

Nice pic. Nice coin.
Fabulous image! Clear, concise and very zoomable.
Nicely done. Like the crop too.
Here's your reverse image with small adjustments in tonal range and neutral color. Under magnification there is slight degradation of resolution. This could be caused by shooting through the plastic holder, or internal reflections within the plastic, or slight camera movement from mirror bounce, etc. It does not look like a focus problem. Nice work!
PS: Love the "Jello Jiggled" date and cool clash marks!
Very nice coin and great photography.... Nice clash on the coin...
Cheers, RickO
Way to go RogerB!
I like the way you went with the image.

You had the take so perfectly balanced ...... sharp with it's natural truest coloration
You do good work, EFP
I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment
Really nice first effort...!
