It is just a beat-up nickel. slow down and learn about real and important errors. Search for books and articles on the subject before wasting time and eyesight looking for such items.
If you are just starting out I can understand that you want to scrutinize everything, but it is almost always a time waster.
While you were busy studying that nickel, I was plowing through rolls of nickels and I found a silver war nickel, a Buffalo nickel, and a small struck-thru 2018 nickel. Those all could have been your finds if you had immediately moved on from that beat up coin. (Not literally, but you get the idea ).
This is ALL that matters. If you are learning along the way then no one will be bothered if you post your finds or questions. We all started out in the same place so there is no shame in it.
Knowledge is power, so the more of it you get the better off you are. And there is plenty of free knowledge from the experts here (that is not a reference to me ).
BTW - I personally like searching nickels myself. There is the occasional minor error, silver war nickels, Buffalos, etc. I buy them by the box ($100) at the bank.

Hmmmm
Someone went to town on Jeff. Possibly scratched with a tool of some kind. Or, likely, been ran over a few times.
10-4. Thanks. I thought so myself didn’t know if it was a error.

What's with the peep hole effect? Spooky. Very worn Jeff, lots of pmd. Time to read up on actual errors. Varietyvista, doubleddie, conecaonline
