My guess is 13th century muslim
My guess is India, based upon the individual alphabetical letters.
There are people here who will know exactly.
Ceylon (Sri Lanka) copper Kings of Kandy massa coin of 12th or 13th century AD.
I have one like it:
Ceylon Massa Copper, 19 mm, 4.16 gm
The king's name is on the second picture lower right.
I still believe it is a Kandy coin but it is hard to identify the king's name.

On the world forum, @SaorAlba has provided a more specific answer which I believe is correct: Chola dynasty of Southern India, around 1100-1200 AD.
I wonder if anyone has any "chutes & ladders" kingdom coins? Hey, it could happen! Who expected a kingdom of Kandy?
