Is this a Wide AM penny

I'm fairly new to roll searching pennies, and I think I may have found a Wide AM Penny. Am I right and also if it is how much do you think I could sell it for?

There are many different year's of Wide/Close AM cents. You'll need to provide more info to evaluate it. Also good photos are needed to get any opinions. There are many good books on this subject -- if you intend on seriously persuing coin collecting they are a MUST. Start with Whitman's Redbook on US Coins.

We would need photos of the suspect coin to let you know if you're "right". Welcome to participating in the forum.

I think you're right. See the one above that you have for comparison? It looks brown so probably not worth nearly as much as a red one. :p

@Pennyman96 .... Welcome aboard. Pictures are required in order to help you with your question. Once good pictures are posted, members can assess the coin for variety and condition, then render opinions on grade. Cheers, RickO

    Welcome to the forum @pennyman96.

The worth of the cent is currently between zero and one cent (“penny for your thoughts”) but may improve with a pic. :)

How can you expect any of us to know without a picture? Even a date and mintmark would help.

Welcome to the boards. Stick around and learn.

I found this image on the web...use this as a guide when you search for close and wide AM. As others have said...the date and condition of the coin makes all the difference in terms of value.
