Pub Trivia final question tonight

My wife plays pub trivia at the local American Legion (her team name is the "Middle-Aged Mamas"), and her team asked me to attend after a series of 4th-place finishes. Yes, tonight I was a Middle-Aged Mama.
You could bet from 1-12 points on the the final question, which was: place the following coins in chronological order.
- Jefferson nickel
- Washington quarter
- Lincoln penny
- Roosevelt dime
We pushed all in (of course). My teammates reminded me that I didn't need to write the year next to each answer.
We scored 12 points, which landed us in a tie for first place.
It came down to a tiebreaker, which was: how tall (in feet) is the Empire State building?
I guessed 22 feet less than the winning answer. We took 2nd place (a $10 drink certificate)

You rock! Too bad they didn't close with a question about a Morgan Vam.
Great prize. That's at least ten Budweisers, right?!
Here's a warning parable for coin collectors...
Awesome
Well done
American Legion! 👍
"I'll take 'Modern Coinage' for $500 Alex"... You must have felt like Sheldon from the Big Bang Theory for a moment. LOL That would have been fun.
How does one go about placing coins in chronological order when one does not know the dates on said coins?
One can place the different series in order, but that wasn't the (stated) question.
Yeah, empty cans of Bud!
OK, I'll Start the HYSTERICS
Lincoln PENNY Oh, the Humanity
Also, based on the information given, I can make 24 different "orders" and all will be correct.
Did you already know the question before having to place the bet? Our trivia night a few weeks ago we had to bet before knowing the question.

Yes, we knew the question before betting. We were tied for 4th place at the time, so I would have pushed all-in regardless (the top two teams win a prize). Based on the groans in the room: most teams missed that question.
We won $10, and we tipped the host $10
Bar trivia is popular in some areas... Used to see it when I lived out west...not so much here in the Northeast. Great question to get with a coin nerd on the team Cheers, RickO
I have not seen a coin question yet - but congrats to the OP!
