Silver is definitely due for an upward swing.... I have no idea what will trigger such a move, nor do I know when it may occur. As the article linked above, there could be a few things that will start the move.... not mentioned was the unpredictability of a black swan event. What I am sure of, is that it will happen...when, why or how much value increase will occur, I will leave to those either more qualified or opinionated than I am. Cheers, RickO
I agree with the comment that it is no longer necessary.
I think I sold enough in the shop to tide the world over for 500 years.
Interesting reading, thank you for sharing !!!
Interesting article but the use of cigs or trucks for comparion by year is not realistic unless you subtract the added tax that is added by some state(s), example health tax. Even using something like soda is not a good indicator because some state(s) have a soda tax. Unless the numbers listed are average nationwide wholesale but I could not find the source for those data points....
Anyways, it would be nice to see an upswing in silver.
Costs 9 bucks an ounce to mine.
The rest of the "premium" is fabrication to make it pretty and marketing to sell it to collectors.

Costs 9 bucks an ounce to mine. I never thought of it that way. What does it cost to mine an ounce of gold?
About a thousand

2011.... another bubble. Who didn't see that coming ? And by 1973 with the GSA hoard, I recall silver being priced at $15., if you wanted a shiny new silver dollar from Carson City.
Pricing is tricky, Dickie.
