A thank you to all

crazyhounddogcrazyhounddog Posts: 14,134 ✭✭✭✭✭

I haven’t the words to express our gratitude to this forum and all of it’s members for all that you’ve done to help my family . Thank you just doesn’t seem to cut it. Somehow I wish I could show you the love we all have in our hearts for all of you. Yes our lives have been absolutely destroyed but we have our lives and I am so grateful to god for watching over my family as we found our way out of town unharmed. I thank god every minute of everyday that my family is alive.
My god bless each and every one of you and may he watch over you and your loved ones as he did for my family.
My entire family has lost their homes. Myself and Katherine home that we have lived in and raised our family in for 28 years. My son, a single father, and his son lost their home. My daughter and her husband with her infant daughter lost their home. We have lost our business, burned to the ground. The miracle is we have our lives and we are together to rebuild and we will survive. Paradise has been destroyed. Many unfortunate good souls lost their battle to leave that hellfire and so many more are missing. My heart goes out to their surviving families. God knows the torture they must be going through.
As I started message off I said I do not have the words to thank all of you for your well wishes and your prayers as they mean so much to us in this crisis. I have no other words but thank you and that’s from the very bottom of this old mans heart. You all have made our dark days brighter knowing there are such good folks out there that care and show they care. This has restored my faith in humanity.
With my heart in my hand, God bless you all and thank you.

More than thanks enough, Joe. Attend to all before you, knowing you have folks behind you. Plenty of time for thanks, etc. later.

    Better fortune hereafter.

Joe,that is such a beautiful and heartfelt message. As I look at the growing list of the missing in Paradise, it seems a miracle that you and your family were able to escape the hellfire. I and many here will be thinking of you often in the weeks and months ahead.

No need for thanks. I don't know how code is in California. But if you are just looking for temporary housing while you rebuild....is a Mobile Home an option? Ouch! Might be cheaper than renting overall.

I like to think by giving a helping hand, we are paying it forward because life can be unpredictable and challenging. But resilience is what has kept humanity going from the beginning.

Hey Joe. The best way for you to repay us is to stay strong and focus. Take care of your love ones and rebuild what you had lost a step at a time.

Well said. Getting your life and your community rebuilt is the best "repayment" anyone could hope for.

an article from the NYT with graphics, showing how fast this fire spread, and and the luck and heroism of ordinary folks. Helps me understand, a little, what folks in and around Paradise endured.
