A thank you to all
I haven’t the words to express our gratitude to this forum and all of it’s members for all that you’ve done to help my family . Thank you just doesn’t seem to cut it. Somehow I wish I could show you the love we all have in our hearts for all of you. Yes our lives have been absolutely destroyed but we have our lives and I am so grateful to god for watching over my family as we found our way out of town unharmed. I thank god every minute of everyday that my family is alive.
My god bless each and every one of you and may he watch over you and your loved ones as he did for my family.
My entire family has lost their homes. Myself and Katherine home that we have lived in and raised our family in for 28 years. My son, a single father, and his son lost their home. My daughter and her husband with her infant daughter lost their home. We have lost our business, burned to the ground. The miracle is we have our lives and we are together to rebuild and we will survive. Paradise has been destroyed. Many unfortunate good souls lost their battle to leave that hellfire and so many more are missing. My heart goes out to their surviving families. God knows the torture they must be going through.
As I started message off I said I do not have the words to thank all of you for your well wishes and your prayers as they mean so much to us in this crisis. I have no other words but thank you and that’s from the very bottom of this old mans heart. You all have made our dark days brighter knowing there are such good folks out there that care and show they care. This has restored my faith in humanity.
With my heart in my hand, God bless you all and thank you.

Please understand I have not the time to respond to all of the PM’s I have received. Nor do I have the time to thank each and every one of you for your thoughts, well wishes and prayers. My days are so busy with just too many things to list. Our main focus is the locate a home near by our burned down town to live. This literally is hell on earth for us as there are so many good folks trying to do the same thing. We are so grateful to this forum and it’s members.

God bless you all
I only wish it had not happened. So glad you got out with your lives!!
Be well, and don't hesitate to ask if you need us again.

PS: 6 more auctions going live on ebay tonight, friend. I hope they do well.
More than thanks enough, Joe. Attend to all before you, knowing you have folks behind you. Plenty of time for thanks, etc. later.
Better fortune hereafter.
Here's a warning parable for coin collectors...
Joe,that is such a beautiful and heartfelt message. As I look at the growing list of the missing in Paradise, it seems a miracle that you and your family were able to escape the hellfire. I and many here will be thinking of you often in the weeks and months ahead.
Wishing you and your Family the best!!
My heart goes out to you. Be well my friend.
No need for thanks. I don't know how code is in California. But if you are just looking for temporary housing while you rebuild....is a Mobile Home an option? Ouch! Might be cheaper than renting overall.
I do know about code in California. Fire code. That's why I'm HYDRANT. My business is fire protection. We work all of Southern California and we work with every county fire marshall department, Riverside, Orange, Ventura, Santa Barbara, San Diego, Imperial, San Bernardino, and Los Angeles. Those people do their best. They know what the stakes are. It's life and death. They are good people. They take their job SERIOUSLY! Also, the people who work with us, and my family KNOW that lives depend on the quality of our work. We take pride in it. My message is this; If you receive a notice from the County to clear brush, trash, etc., from around your house, DO IT! Your life and you're family and neighbors lives may depend on it. The code officers are not trying to bully you. They are helping you. The people who fight the wildfires in California are heroic. Every year many of them die in the line of duty trying to protect YOU. Help them. Do your part.
Joe and his family are alive and doing "well".
Hi Joe!
A day in the life of Paradise California.......https://www.yahoo.com/news/video-one-last-residents-evacuate-205306827.html
Hey Joe. The best way for you to repay us is to stay strong and focus. Take care of your love ones and rebuild what you had lost a step at a time. We'll always be here for you whenever you need a break. But please try not to make time nor feel the need to reply to us when your hands are full. We understand.
I like to think by giving a helping hand, we are paying it forward because life can be unpredictable and challenging. But resilience is what has kept humanity going from the beginning.
Joe - can't imagine what you're going through. Stay strong and if any of us can do anything to help, please let us know.

Well said. Getting your life and your community rebuilt is the best "repayment" anyone could hope for.
an article from the NYT with graphics, showing how fast this fire spread, and and the luck and heroism of ordinary folks. Helps me understand, a little, what folks in and around Paradise endured.
