I'd guess seller made his own 2x2 insert. Also, hyphen between "moon-light" is also incorrect, at least the print is not Dan Carr's. Not sure on authenticity of struck pieces.
A subset were sold by Dan. Here's the quote from moonlightmint.com:
"The larger quantity listed was antiqued outside of Moonlight Mint using a blackening & wire-brushing technique. These have a different appearance, were marketed by a promotor, and do not include Moonlight Mint certificates. The smaller quantity listed was antiqued at Moonlight Mint using a patina & hand-burnishing process."

They look legit in hand. Non magnetic.
“Not being magnetic” means very little in counterfeit detection. Being magnetic might.

The glove adds something, I can't quite put my finger on it, and you should use fishing line - something that doesn't absorb water and alter the readings. Overall, a good way to explain how to determine SG.
The cobs pictured are ones that I struck.
However, on agreement, these particular ones are antiqued and marketed by someone else.
As previously mentioned in this thread, they are included in my cob mintage statistics.
Note that the cobs shown (the ones antiqued by someone else) will show fine parallel wire brush marks as part of the antiquing process. The small quantity that I antiqued myself and issued with my own certificates have a fully matte finish and will not have the wire brush marks. They look like this:

Looks like they are all sold already. I can't comment on authenticity but they look good

Let's ask him.
@dcarr
Thankfully, these thingies aren't even close to looking correct.
Silver Spanish cobs of that era would rarely win a beauty contest.
Yeah I bought them. They were half of issue price. Seemed too good to be true. But I think these may have been a collaboration striking.
Well, with fake inserts, anything is possible. Maybe do a specific gravity on those strikes to determine silver @ ACop.

Try this. I learned from this strange dude.
There is a Moonlight Mint webpage(s) and this thingie seems to be there:

At .999 silver should be close to 10.50.

The vast majority of the 1622 cobs are/were sold here: https://prospectorsgoldandgems.com/product/1622-atocha-silver-cob-round-daniel-carr/

He relisted two more of them.

Oh the irony...

There ya go.
Great... Authenticity granted and at half issue price, that is a great deal... Cheers, RickO
Alright cool thanks. These came out pretty awesome.

Yup, mine looks like it got the wire-brushing technique.
But the card that came with mine is different than the OP's.
FWIW, I got mine on ebay a few years ago for $40-something. IMO the antiqued-by-Carr pieces are nicer & more valuable.
