Warriors to offer $100 tickets without view of the court
Would you be willing to pay $100 just to enter a building?
The Golden State Warriors think their fans would and sent out an email offering them just that. They’ll now offer a monthly “In The Building Pass” for admission to Oracle Arena for every home game at just $100 a month.
The passes are non-transferable and each fan can buy up to four passes through April before the postseason starts.
Not included with the pass? A view of the game.

people who buy these are are put on a special list , after being investigated it turns out they haven't produced offspring they are terminated to spare future humanity the negative effects of their genetic material being propagated.
Well, I can tell you that at most Yankees games the best seats are empty most of the game because the people with the tickets are watching on TV inside while eating and drinking and networking and carrying on.
So perhaps this will become a thing. You going to the game? Yes. Watch? No, party. Cool I’ll see you there if it’s lopsided...
...not ever for me, though.
I just know there’s lots of stupid people walking around. P.T. Barnum would be the richest man alive today.

Might be worth it to pay the $100 if you're a land salesman because you'll find lots of good prospects sitting there...IE suckers with money.
"Hey i've got some great land deals for ya located only 20 miles from Las Vegas with year round sunshine and spa-like temperatures to enjoy."
I don't know about NBA, but people have been doing this for years at regular season events for MLB, NFL, NASCAR, etc. They just call it "tailgating". I never did it personally, but the 1990s Chiefs with Derrick Thomas and Montana, et al, you couldn't get a ticket then, but people would pay for parking, set up at 7 a.m. on gameday, and stay until 9 p.m. or later eating and drinking and socialising, with their radios and portable tvs, all within earshot of the roar of the crowd.
Your big events like the Super Bowl, All-Star games, World Series, etc, they call it "The Fan Experience", or "Fanfest". Didn't Jerry Jones sell tickets to watch the game on a giant outdoor TV in the parking lot when Dallas hosted the Super Bowl?
Valid points. But I'd be sure the $100 price does not include parking, and of course does not include any food or drink.
At least with tailgating, you pay the parking and you can then stay there for free after that, and then consume your own food and drink that you brought with you, at a lot less cost. Obviously with that $100 price, you're stuck in the building paying the usual exorbitant concession prices if you wish to eat or drink.
Also, many tailgaters actually do have tickets for the game. Tailgating is mostly a pre-game activity.
But hey, whatever turns somebody on I guess, and if paying $100 and not being able to even see the live game except on a TV screen, while emptying your wallet on expensive food and drink is what ya enjoy, then what the heck, it's only money.
I'm sure Oakland has much better public transit now than KC did to the Truman Sports Complex in the 90s, which was practically zero. You can probably get to the Warriors game fairly easy and avoid parking. In KC, you had to purchase parking for multiple spaces in order to set everything up, the bus, the grill, the table, the tent... I don't know about tailgaiting in other cities, but in KC for MLB, NFL, and NASCAR there is a whole group of people that only go to tailgate, with no intent of ever going inside. So many people would do that, that the Chiefs actually decided to outlaw it this year, after raising the parking to $60 per space. They actually patrol the lots during the game.
The Warriors $100 charge covers all home games in that month, and the passholders are eligible for the free stadium giveaways. Sell a bobblehead or 2 on eBay, and all is good.
Or pay a $20 cover charge for a bar near the stadium every game. At least with the $100 monthly pass you are in the stadium and can feel the energy.
I can not watch basketball for free!
