Shucks. I wish I “got” this. Is it die marriage? Uneven wear? Transition year? Counterfeit?
Thanks @Omegaraptor
It was my first thought

It's die marriage. The common JR-1 and rare JR-2 have the same obverse die, including the crack in the first three stars. The difference is the reverse die.

Is it bad that I understand the meme more than the coin reference?![ ](https://forums.collectors.com/resources/emoji/blush.png)
Educate me, what is "MEME" ?
Usually it's a picture that people caption based on the look on the face of the person or what is happening in the picture. For this one, the top is something really appealing and the bottom is disappointment.
Thank you @Hallco . While the coin was not a rare die marriage,
I would have been happy with it from the
state of preservation. Put me down for a
big ole sweet MEME on both sides!!
That

Meme's are a central part of social communication in this digital age.... Cheers, RickO
