If I dip a silver coin

Will pcgs auto label it cleaned? I have a 53 Franklin proof that HAD some cloudy fields. I dipped it in some cheap jewelry cleaner and it cleared up. Did I hurt it or am I okay?

Probably 75% of coins in holders have been dipped.

    Rinse and rinse again.

Dipping is acceptable, esp. if you can't tell that the coin has been dipped.

The most important message here is make sure the dip is removed by rinseing

I totally agree with the rinse/neutralize statements....That is critical... second, how long was the dip? Should be as short as possible...Cheers, RickO

I don't buy any raw coins anymore but I wouldn't hesitate to do a quick dip and rinse for coins worth less than a few hundred, especially to remove any (all) toning.
