2004 DIME

When I was searching through a dime roll, I came across this 2004 dime. My first glance had me thinking that it was covered in rust, but after taking a closer look, the dime has became more interesting. Can anyone provide on what might had happen to this dime?

Corroded with a foreign substance on it. I would spend it immediately to avoid contamination of your house.
Looks like it was dug by a person using a metal detector.... No value, just environmental wear and damage. Cheers, RickO
What does ten cents buy these days?

20 cents in discount postage stamps.
or,
10 copper cents worth almost twice that in copper value.

Just a damaged coin. You need to get more selective about what you post or you will quickly find your posts being ignored. No one cares about corroded/damaged Roosevelt dimes.
