Coins on Television - Young Sheldon

Did anyone else notice that Young Sheldon has a coin collection? About a minute into last night's episode (Season 2, Episode 7 Carbon Dating and a Stuffed Raccoon) we see him open his toy safe. Looks like a large cent on top of a 2x2 dated 1929-D
Good luck doing a Google search on it, though (thanks to the Sheldon grading scale).

Is this a TV program?? I am not a frequent TV watcher, so would not see this....but good to see the coin hobby infiltrating modern programs. Cheers, RickO
Annie Potts is still as cute as ever

I wii watch for that scene in the re-runs.
In another episode, Sheldon's father had to flip a coin to see which son gets to ride shotgun I in the car. When they showed the winning flip, it was clearly a silver quarter.
It seems silver coins are commonly used in shows and movies, even in today's years well past the silver coin days.

There is an episode of Young Sheldon that shows him with a Whitman blue trifold album filled with circulated Lincoln cents.
It's a spin-off (prequel) from "The Big Bang Theory".

Very interesting. I don't think it's good for our hobby that Sheldon Cooper may be a coin collector. There is no one less cool or more two dimensional.
@BStrauss3... I would not know what the Big Bang Theory was either....well, as far as a TV show goes anyway.... Cheers, RickO
