1940 NICKEL

All, here’s another nickel that I’ve come across. Granted, you can only see a step or 2, but it’s still in great condition for a 1940 nickel. Any thoughts in what I should do with it?

It is unusual to find a 1940 nickel in that condition in circulation. Unfortunately, it appears to have been cleaned and is a very common date in a series that is seldom collected in circulated condition anymore. Value is 5 cents.

    All glory is fleeting.
  • 291 - appreciate the info. The coin was actually taken out of a roll of coins exactly as you see in the picture. I’ll keep on posting w/ any new finds.
