Don't think I'll make it all the way to Thousand Oaks....but Anaheim is (almost literally) right down the street! It would be a numismatic sin to miss it.
Added:
Numismatic Sin: Failure to go to a weekend coin show that is within your normal daily commute.
North County Monthly Coin Show, Nov 4th in Anaheim, CA, will be my first show -15 min away. I'm wondering if they have same day grading and if it's possible to sell any of my coins there.... If so, which kind of coins sell best, Raw or Graded? I'm such a Newbie..eeek I have no idea of what to expect. Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
Anaheim is a pretty small local show. It's not bad, however! There was a time a few years ago when it was pretty forgettable, but they've built it back up to a respectable event. (Entry fee is $1 at the door, which might chafe some collectors, but I look at is a pretty cheap price for a hours worth of entertainment (at least)).
But, there won't be any grading companies there, so don't expect to have anything graded, or submitted for grading there.
As for selling, the dealers are always happy to look and make an offer! Raw or graded. That may or may not be the best way to sell your coins, however, depending on what it is. (And I'm probably not the right guy to lay out the parameters of that decision).
Probably will be at show in Fairview Park, Ohio with my 7 year old looking at things.
Looking forward to it.
Thank you TommyType
Also , not on the list ,
COLUMBIA , SOUTH CAROLINA
Doors open at 9am!
I'll be there.
Stop by and say hello!
Houston show for me
I am at the Silver Dollar show in St.charles.
Good small show at Urbana, Illinois. Once a year, always good.
Will be at Houston show off Foley st.
There should be many coin show reports coming up ... For those of us who are not privileged to have shows in our area, we must exist vicariously through the experiences of others...Cheers, RickO
I am excited! I planned my day around attending the Ventura County Show tomorrow. I will try to get pictures and make a report. My first show! I did a little side work to line my pocket for the event. I am hopeful to fill several dansco holes and cherrypick some Pcgs Coins.
