Check out this fake 1881 proof Trade $ in a Pcgs holder. Not sure if the coin was switched out or the holder is fake as well. I did report this as a fake to EBay. The cert. # does check out.

I don't think T.DAve would be fooled by a shabby fake like that. PR63,LOL! There is an aspect of the blue inserts that the forgers never get right (to my knowledge) that is evident here (which I won't mention publicly). I don't know much about fake slabs so can't comment on the diagnostics for those.

How can you tell the slab is fake?
I'm glad the fake is being reported, but if someone doesn't know the difference between a harshly cleaned/fake VF and a PR63CAM, they're sort of asking for trouble!!
