A small local coin, and sports card show at the VFW.
Not too many dealers here- always good though to see what's circulating in your own backyard. Maybe a total of ten dealers in cards, and coin at this small show. Most had sport cards, magic, etc. Just two dealers had coins.
I did my best to make the most of the opportunity between good conversation, and a few pick ups. One dealer had a fake Morgan, and I informed him. He seemed "genuinely" clueless, so, was an informative meeting for both parties.
The two coins I picked up were a couple I needed: The 1834 Busty SM Date, Small Letters is one, along with a 1917-D Type I Standing Liberty quarter which was one I needed; yet, it is a bit dark on the obverse. She will get a good over-night acetone soak before I put coin in binder. I want to make sure this baby is clean. Looks to be VF30 IMO.
Thanks for looking all!

Both nice coins!
I like both. Not sure I would dip the quarter I kinda like it as is.
Thanks @Smudge - acetone soak will not alter surfaces. It will just remove harmful organic residue.
Amazing what you can find at these small shows sometimes. I like both coins a lot.

Those small shows - especially club shows - are fertile ground for finding lots of "keepers".
Nice pickups, I especially like the CBH.

Small shows can be quite productive.
I like small, local shows... went to many when I lived in the PNW...found some good coins at reasonable prices at those shows...Often some unique material shows up... I picked up a really nice, raw, O/CC Morgan at one such show... Cheers, RickO
