    Those aren't the bullion ones. They don't sell the bullion ones. Those are the boxed up ones.

    Those are Burnished American Silver Eagles

    These uncirculated Silver American Eagles have a "W" mintmark and are struck on specially burnished planchets. The burnished American Eagle was not introduced until 2006. The burnished coins appeal to collectors and investors for their special finish, beauty and purity. After the striking of the coin on the burnished planchet is made, it leaves a beautiful frosted look, maximizing the glory and pristine nature of the coin and design. The smooth, matted finish makes the burnished Silver Eagle coin value high.

    Note that the US Mint no longer uses the word "burnished" in their description of collector series W mint mark business strike gold and silver eagles. What's up wid dat?

    While I like ASE's, the price point is rather exorbitant with silver below $15.... Cheers, RickO
