And I still haven't gotten anything great in a couple of weeks (excluding those two solid silver plates that NOBODY has bought yet).
Show us what you have? Show us what you wish you had?

We are like children who look at print and see a serpent in the last letter but one, and a sword in the last.

Very nice items, thank you for sharing !!!
I’m not huge on commemorative gold, but when it comes to HMC I make an exception. There is a 10th, 1/4, and half in the same presentation for the complete set. I also have a 10th but still open to landing the other two. These come up for air every now and then here locally as the miners and their families bought these but the envelope usually gets lost or torn. The envelope is important to me.
I’ll note, the mine closed in 2002 and they mined another 8 million oz after this bar was made.
That's awesome @WildIdea

That Homestake bar is very cool.
We have or had a smaller mine close to us called the Americal Girl Mine.
I have some 1 ounce silver rounds from there and have heard a rumor of some gold being given out to workers But have never been able to confirm.
If you google American Girl Mine/ mining company or combinations, All google finds is the doll.
With the title I was thinking....
That's what I get for jumping around on different sites.
I, personally, do not like the use of the word porn in relations to coins/metals/silver/gold.
Sorry, but I'm offended. Call me a prude or whatever but it is what it is and I do not use
that word in relation to anything but porn as it relates to sex.
bob
Nice metals... That gold Guinea is really nice.... Cheers, RickO
You're a prude.
I started calling it "Metal Porn" after the term "Food Porn", which became common in the early 2000s as a way to describe beautifully photographed recipes, baked goods, and the rise in popularity of cooking shows. I had been trying to photograph metals and coins in a way that caused a visceral reaction to those of us who LOVE gold, silver, and rare coins.
If seeing an image of a perfectly baked Thanksgiving turkey makes your mouth water, I was trying to get a similar reaction.

Spooning leads to forking...
...mud.
Then to the bar.
Nice stack of bars! 999 from nitric refining? Once the engineers clear my new furnace I can pour those all into one if you want. Should be able to load 800 ozt of silver and have it molten in 45 min. Im too lazy to refine most of my own silver other than that which I use in inquarting gold lots. Looking for a larger lab set up to process stone lots as well. Ah what fun the future holds.
Great looking metals folks!
Nothing new this week so I’ll share some older pics that are still in my photo library.
