Stack's: Is there a way to search by lot number?

do I need special information such as which of the umpteen categories something is in first or can I just search by lot number? Not surprisingly, it is not intuitive

    They split up their auctions into many separate ones and you have to be viewing the auction which has the lot you desire. If you are looking at a page for US Coins Part 1 you cannot search for a lot that’s in Part 2.

    that's what I thought. So still user-unfriendly after all these years and all the feedback. Sad.

    Yes, I like to find out what the 1801 Jefferson inaugural medal sold for, but navigating that site is not easy.

    Retired dealer and avid collector of U.S. type coins, 19th century presidential campaign medalets and selected medals. In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible. I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?
