Second first Flying Eagle has landed

My first FE arrived today. It has a beautiful “circulation cameo” that I enjoy. 1858 VF25 Small Letters. It was an impulse purchase while shopping under a new alternate eBay cash back promotion (not ebucks).

It will go well with my Pcgs type set, which is a joyful aimless rambling distraction from the stall my registry sets have hit.

Nice, I like the in-flight position of that determined eagle. Peace Roy

Nice pick up. An eagle that personifies it's ability to defend it's nest- in style. That's what I see in this short series- love it!

I don't have one of these in my modified type set yet, but I'm looking forward to picking one up as I really like the design of this cent.

    Thanks for sharing your pickup.

    a very solid, circ example.

Something about the coins of the 1800s and 1900s seems better when they are circulated, in my opinion. I love BU examples of anything but many are beyond what I want to spend, and so the double bonus with circulated older coinage. It is usually more affordable circ, and it has put in work and earned its place in history. Like a 4x4 truck you break while out mudding, it is way cooler than a waxed up shiny street queen 4x4 that never saw mud once.
    Thanks for the comments everyone!

Starting a nest! This one has been around the block a few times, and with the DDO label I could not resist the price at below grading costs.
