Does anyone here have one of these bars? If so, do you know how they are made?
Inspecting mine closely, I'd swear it was poured, then flattened in some sort of press. It's unlike any of my other bars.
If you look in the upper right hand side, it has bubbles like you see on poured bars. I'd be curious to hear other comments on how you think they were made...

I've always loved those bars....if you look hard enough, you can find them for a decent price.....not too often but sometimes....
Vintage? Ain’t that old.
I'm not really sure, it's not old, but it's the older style.

That's why I got it. $165 out the door.
Thanks everybody.

Good price.
I have one and am looking for more at a reasonable price. They are bullion after all and IMO are absurdly priced on Ebay IMO.
Nice bar....I keep telling myself to buy a couple of old bars... so far, just a couple of one ounce art bars.... Cheers, RickO

To the best of my knowledge the bars are 'pressed' and date to the 80's. This link might be helpful on processes.

FWIW no bubbles on my one in hand although one of the reverse vertical edges is slightly deeper and is sharper than the others.
@mapleman Thanks!
