50 cents of value ... there are multiple resources that you can purchase regarding mint errors. Just check the Google .... as an example ... check the links
Welcome to our forum. Just a suggestion and only meant in a positive manner; but rather than looking for errors you may want to consider looking for rather attractive and non damaged coins for your collection. They are (in my humble opinion) a more interesting search in the fact that while doing so, one is looking for attractiveness and beauty rather than blemishes, and or damage. Again welcome, and hope to see you around for a while.

Hey Eric, yeah it's not Mint made. But, it still has just a bit over $2 in silver in it (40%) and as such would be worth saving. I would not spend it.
Welcome! I think Fridays are not a good day for some of the above posters, no need for YELLING!

How else will we be heard?
Sometimes, caps are just for emphasis, not yelling. It's the easiest way to highlight THIS word.
It looks like there may be an area which was struck through grease in front of the ear on the hairline, if so that would be a minor error with no added value. The marks on the cheek and jawline are post mint damage.

Get a hammer and punch and you can make more.
Post mint damage.
Does anyone know what the error is called?
Not an error.
POST MINT damage. ⬆
It's called POST MINT DAMAGE. It's not an error, it's just DAMAGE. Hit a coin with a hammer and you have the same thing.
@eric7808.....Welcome aboard.....Yes... PMD.....Not a mint error..Cheers, RickO

Did the price of silver drop to $3.40 an ounce?
1969 is 40% silver, value is probably closer to $2 just due to the silver.
Hey Fred, are you sure that ain't the ultra-rare "Assassination Head"? (I'm probably goin' to hell for that one.)
