Like many users on the forum, I found this coin in the parking lot at Home Depot and I think it might be valuable. I'm curious if this issue in the obverse field is PMD or a planchet flaw of some sort. Any ideas? Thanks!
(Joking about the first part, serious about the second )

I vote planchet flaw
Planchet, I think. From the star over.
Whatever...it is forgivable.
I'm gonna have to shop at The Home Depot more often.
Lance.
I vote planchet flaw also.

Planchet flaw. Minor. Neither adds to or detracts from the coin.
Yep...I agree with the eminent opinions above...Though surprised it was not called out on the label.... well, maybe not... Cheers, RickO
Cool coin no matter what.
I agree it's a planchet flaw and forgivable. This is a really nice small head variety for the grade. Love the detail on Liberty's eye.

Thanks for the help everyone! I had thought it was a planchet flaw when I purchased the coin and I'm glad that was the consensus here.
