That is a cool promo. Wish I could make it down there. I find the convenience of handing the submission directly to PCGS at these events a promo in itself.

My point is that it doesn't do any good for the other 99+% of their customers. Yeah it's nice they give the show goers a deal, but so many people like the crossover specials it's almost an insult to the rest of us to just include the people going to one show. They could have done a "During Baltimore" special where anyone who ships an order to PCGS during the show would be eligible for the promotion.
It just sucks for those of us who can't make it to big regional shows to see the all the special deals we don't qualify for.

Well...it is an incentive to get people to a coin show. Which, in the end, I believe to be the intention here.

I agree that it would be nice if that popular crossover special is available to a wider audience... I use it all the time, and just attended Long Beach and might make FUN next, but can't swing the one show they offer it at this year. Ugh.

Well if anybody here wants to sub a few NGC coins at baltimore, let me know, ill let you piggyback with me.
I have 2 NGC I would love to have any or all crossed or attempted cross. Both are attributed labeled varieties, and would require attribution at Pcgs to actually cross.
Attribution must happen or no point in crossing. Also they must cross at current grades.
If this is not too complicated I would compensate you in advance.
Show specials are good for bringing some people in.... traffic usually tells the story. Baltimore is usually a well attended show anyway.... Cheers, RickO
The true value of the promo is, "I don't think this will pass but it will only cost me 10 bucks to find out."
Also, during busy shows, it is way to easy to blast through reconsiderations and crossovers, just saying NO PASS. There is now an incentive for PCGS to take a closer look. If they don't, they make 10 bucks.

Only at Baltimore?

LOL, the word Baltimore is in the thread title and the PCGS ad!
A wider lasso of participants would definitely be warranted...how about including mail order members through a quarterly special?
BST transactions: dbldie55, jayPem, 78saen, UltraHighRelief, nibanny, liefgold, FallGuy, lkeigwin, mbogoman, Sandman70gt, keets, joeykoins, ianrussell (@GC), EagleEye, ThePennyLady, GRANDAM, Ilikecolor, Gluggo, okiedude, Voyageur, LJenkins11, fastfreddie, ms70, pursuitofliberty, ZoidMeister,Coin Finder, GotTheBug, edwardjulio, Coinnmore, Nickpatton, Namvet69,...
They have done that in the past, and I used it on a bi-weekly basis during those 3 months.

I would disagree with this, but that might start a thing.

The cost (air/lodging/food) to attend a big show; Baltimore, Chicago, FUN, Long Beach, etc... does not warrant the savings for this "special".

How much is it for the coins that do cross?
Whatever level you choose plus 1% of the PCGS Price Guide Value.
.

I wish they would go back to doing it as the quarterly special. I would express several and keep resubmitting them until they crossed.
I would also love a reconsideration special where you pay only if it upgrades. I can dream, right?
