Do you spend more time peering through a microscope or observing through a telescope?

Half credit for loupes or binoculars.

I'm still looking for my Zeiss loupe; in the meantime the B and L will suffice.

The most I use is a Zeiss loupe... a 5x handheld glass is usually my first go to tool...Rarely do I want major magnification....If it cannot be easily seen in hand, then, for the most part, not interesting. Cheers, RickO

I get the most JOY from coins by looking at them with the naked eye, as they were intended to be seen!

I never use a bleeping microscope, and only use a loupe for buying decisions, or to explore something of interest.

So, guess I'm a "telescope" guy.

Added: I guess I was taking it more as a metaphor. I didn't expect that actual use of a telescope would be discussed.

Way more on telescopes & binoculars. Probably 100:1 over microscopes & loupes.

I go shooting at least several times per month and do astronomy as a minor hobby. I look through a microscope occasionally in the hospital lab and very occasionally in the operating room.

I use a handheld loupe when making buying decisions on coins and when examining some particular detail.

Could probably use one when the Cowboys go 3rd and long.

I've used a microscope at work for many years, mostly looking at and counting cells.

Also spent quite a bit of time with backyard telescopes, current instrument is a 4.5" reflector.

Telescope catching up, but microscope still far ahead.

For coins, it's a couple of loupes, time is probably between the two.

I don't have a telescope. Not enough really dark, clear skies in my parts, and the neighbors are boring.

I probably use my microscope almost every day, even if it's to change a watch battery or get a splinter out of my thumb.

Squinting through a loupe. In the next life, I want perfect eyesight.

To me there is a difference between sight and vision.

When buying coins, my sight is microscopic, as I want value and quality for my money, especially the long term.

In terms of my VISION for what I wanted to accomplish with my set, it is telescopic, as I had a plan for what I wanted to achieve over the years and I have mostly done it.

I'm a clinical microbiologist... when I'm not using a microscope, I'm using a molecular tool.
