Guess what I paid? Edit & Answered

So before bidding at Heritage tonight I did a little research on the price history of a pedigreed coin.
It’s known who bought the coin directly from the US mint over 120 years ago.
It was then sold 80 years as part of collection for the total price of the collection for $100,000.
There it sat with him until it was sold in in 2000 for $5,750.
It was then sold to the next owner in 2015 for $7,050.
I just purchased this coin tonight for????

Congrats on your win. It sounds like an exciting acquisition.
As far as price, that’s between you, the auction house, and the consignor (who might be a member here.)
$5,280.00
In honor of the memory of Cpl. Michael E. Thompson
If you paid more than $500, you definitely paid too much. The coin is harshly cleaned with hairlines visible under magnification.
5520.
