This is a great place. There are some that I miss that I wish would come back and some that I miss that cannot come back. I hope we can all enjoy the short while we're here
MadMarty got me interested in Kennedy halves. His wit and charm along with his knowledge were second to none.
Also, Supercoin for his ability to draft interesting topics regarding Ikes and toning.
Way too many friends to say just one. I have many, many good friends here on this great forum we all enjoy and are great contributors . But! If I HAD to pick just one for what he has contributed to me I would have to say, Robeck. Bob, was one of the very first friends I made when I first joined this forum a long time ago. This good man has alwas taken the time to help me with hard information to find and has always done this in a gracious, friendly manner. Lance is another I feel this way about. I just hope I’m as good of friends to them as they have been to me over the years.
Jim, is another that has been a steadfast friend/contributer as is Jeremy, clarkbar, dimeman, cecropiamoth, cameonut, Bullseitter, lord morcovan, Ray, Dimeman, Las Vegas Ted, old Ironside, insider 2, yes I like you Mr. Cantankerous, you have great knowledge and sometimes you’re right You are a resourceful and fun guy, Paradise found, type2, Al AD400, Pete, Jim Knight, Ron Pope with his knowledge in buffalo nickels, erwindock, perryhall, Bill Jones, Ricko, Wakerfan, messydesk, broadstruck, goldbully along with some new friends I have made just in the last week that have PM’ed me on buffalo nickels. . The list goes on and on. If I left anyone out I apologize right now. Any thread I get envolved with I walk away with something learned.
To a degree this is a tough question I wish I never tried to answer. See! I learned something again
Thank you to all for contributing in your very own way to this forum. It’s been a fun ride and I sure hope it continues to be that way.
It’s always best not to get political too Another thing I’ve learned.
I think you are all great and special in your own way.
It’s a stupid long answer to say Robec.
Happy hunting, Joe

Mark Feld works at Heritage and offers the same great advice to anyone who calls him there. Including "you might not like it because... ". Numerous Forum members have availed themselves. Whether here, ATS or at work, he's an asset worth holding on to.
Not me, I received a PM from him ATS a few years back where he specifically told me to NOT ask him for advice at HA. This stemmed from my concern on a COI he made during a discussion of a HA auction coin while the auction was active in the open forum ATS. Hmmm.........

I fully agree with this post and the one from kaz so Mr. Jones gets my vote. THIS IS a popularity contest, and it appears Mr. Jones is popular...........
@Walkerguy21D said: coinguy1 is Mark Feld. He had a falling out with HRH in 2011.
Thanks Lance.
Wow, can't believe it has been that long!
Certainly I would miss many other (current) members, but figured it was safe to pick a very good one that we
already lost. Mark seemed to have a great handle on grading, grading standards, and the market, and posted
some very insightful commentary. He also backed me up publicly on a '93 Lib Cap that I had sold, that some were claiming was a fake - that later cert'd as genuine.
Does anyone know whatever happened to supertooth? He was an infrequent poster, but he and I exchanged hundreds of PM's concerning early walkers over the years, but I lost track of him.
In all of Numismatics I'd miss Dave Harper the most. Dave is a guy that posts interesting and humorous stuff. Granted , he doesn't post here ( or DOES he? ) but if the man ever retires........
This is a hobby that needs a lot of new blood and intelligence to ask questions and contribute their thoughts so numismatics can remain relevant. Members here who are honest and giving of their knowledge, experience and wisdom will always be appreciated.

Joe, we've known each other a long time. Every time we meet at a show it's like a reunion. I'm proud you are my friend. We even haunted the same coin shop in Los Altos, decades ago.
@robec is the perfect gentleman. I've admired him and his photography for years. He probably doesn't know it but his comments, years ago, encouraged me to pursue coin photography. I hope to be as good as him some day.
Lance.

I too miss Bear! But over the years I appreciated the likes of John Maben, Eric Jordan (ericj96) and Wondercoin (Mitch) for their moderns perspectives. Whatever happened to Eric? After his very informative book he went on hiatus.

I'd miss me too because I would miss out on a lot of stuff... good and... not so much.
I was wondering about Bob aka supertooth.

I wished @Justacommeman & @cardinal would post more often ..... they have some really pretty stuffs
They do have great collections!
Sometimes I feel the need to post some of their collections for them, like here

How about Regulated, TDN, Specialist, John B, and John F? Their insights are greatly appreciated.
Dealing in Canadian and American coins and historical medals.
Now might be a good time to resurrect this thread (only 2 days have passed), now that 40% of the commentators plus the OP are banned

BillJones, spacehayduke, TomB, RogerB
Testing. Can you still post on this thread?
## Well you can. Just wondering. ##
This thread was prophetic, ahead of its time. I am sure those impacted never thought it would end this way.
Anyway, yes, we do miss them!
Definitely Bill Jones. He's given me solid advice on approaching my type set, has an amazing eye for detail, and incredible knowledge.
I'd also give props to TomB and DNADave...
