If we went with your version of @Coinstartled 's idea, you'd win your own contest. That would be like the Department of Redundancy Department.

To enter, just tell us you did something - from 10/2/18 forward - to leave the world a better place than you found it. Gave a coin to a YN. Picked up a piece of trash. Put the bag of marshmallows on the floor at Walmart back on the shelf. Said hello to that grumpy old man next door. etc. etc.

1) Unordinary good deed... does this count? A few months ago I saw an erratic driver doing about 80mph in heavy traffic on US 101. He cut off and clipped a tiny smart car which launched into the air and rolled a few times. Crazy driver kept going and I stopped traffic in my lane and jumped out to help the guy. He was, remarkably ok with minor cuts, car totaled and missing a wheel. Another driver and I then PUSHED the car two lanes over to the divider and waited for police. To allow traffic to pass. I gave water, first aid stuff to victim driver and helped rinse his lacerations.

Those little cars are like a roll cage with wheels!!! I gave my info to the driver and he later called and said he was ok from hospital.

1) I rescued a dog trapped in a pond and near drowning at nightfall. He was covered in mud and was clearly exhausting himself trying to get out. Brought him home, warmed him up with a warm water bath, toweled dry and returned him to his owner. Turned out he was blind and there was a search party out looking for him.

2) Mango's 5000'th day? October 21'st. You did mean date and not just the weekday right? That day is about six years away I think. How long do Love Birds live for?

2) My good deed: last week I thought about pushing a little old lady into the street just for fun, but then I decided not to do it. Does that count?

Or, last week in the parking lot at the supermarket there was a shopping cart next to where I parked and there was a 12 pack of soda on the bottom rack that someone had left there by accident. What do, what to do... Do I just toss it in my car? Or do I take it into the store and leave it at the customer service desk in case the owner comes back for it?

I did the right thing. (In case anyone does not know what the right thing is, I took it into the store. )
