jewelry box find

am not sure who did it but was going through an old jewelry box at a friends place helping her sort out their stuff after her husband passed and found an interesting pendant . a carved 1902 canadian penny . she let me add it to my collection of coins..

Nice old find.... coin art has been around a long time (i.e. love tokens etc.). And many a good coin has been 'lost' to this art. Cheers, RickO

thanks. hopefully it wasnt a valuable penny , i know what you mean , ive seen coins here turned into ashtrays , pendants , tie pins , etc

here's one that been very carved.. the person managed to get around each individual letter and number along with his head
