This 1883 v nickel is different. Off center obverse and struck over another coin?

Please help me with this one. Is it correct to say it’s an off center struck obverse and look all that’s going on here, is it struck over another coin . Lots of weird lines and the I in America .

The coin appears to be struck from a misaligned obverse die.
The lines on the obverse are die cracks.
I think what you're seeing on the I of AMERICA is a die chip, but it might be PMD.
I can't tell from the image really.
Too worn to merit any numismatic premium for the slightly misaligned obverse die. (This assumes anyone would pay a numismatic premium for it even in a higher grade, which I would not.) G6.
Slightly off center. Die chip in the "I".
Could you show me a trace of another coin's elements? How about just weighing it?
You should try writing fiction. You have the best developed imagination on the board.

I agree with @mannie gray ....Cheers, RickO
A decent mis-aligned obv. die
Not double struck or off center.
One thing you can be assured of: I don't know.
Apparently you haven't searched sold listings for Misaligned dies on Ebay. Premiums galore and with no seeming care for missing device elements either. There is a market, seemingly..
I haven't looked at eBay in years. Even if "the market" is paying a premium for such minor errors I wouldn't be. Now that I think about it, there are many things in numismatics I simply reject including popular areas such as Overton numbers or VAMs. If they want to spend their money on such items that is up to them.
They haveto be more than 3% off
