Are you looking for coin information?

One of the great advantages of using the NNP archive for checking coin information is that it can be done anytime - at your leisure. You can open a 150-year old journal of letters and review each one as quickly or patiently as wished. This is something that researchers have never really been able to do, except in very small samples - now there are dozens of complete US Mint volumes available for free.

Instead of looking at archaic and inaccurate internet sites, why not use the time to search NNP for original information about your subject of interest. You never know what you'll find!

There are also hundreds of auction catalogs, coin club newsletters, and tens of thousands of modern auction lots and descriptions available on NNP.

This was a project the late Eric P. Newman personally chose to bring long-term benefits to the hobby, pastime, and historical segment of American numismatics.

In my opinion, Mr. Newman was a remarkable man whose contributions to numismatics will impact generations to come. His passion for numismatics and knowledge were nearly insatiable. RogerB, your dedication to his legacy is equally remarkable.

Anyone who has not yet read the "Truth Seeker: The Life of Eric P. Newman" would be well advised to do so. It is a fantastic read, co-authored by RogerB, that is nearly impossible to put down. After reading that book, you will fully understand the man behind the Newman Numismatic Portal and perhaps be inspired yourself to advance our knowledge of numismatics to the next level. Mr. Newman was a true gem, as is the NNP.
