A barber I went to said he was given these "coins", I was going to title the thread "coin crap" but didn't want to offend.
Does anyone know what the heck these little "coins" are?

I believe that they are tokens. The have a bear on the back and no denomination. Just 1/2 but no dollar, etc.
Here is a recent sold on ebay, do they look like this one?

Common but some do collect them. Often found in "complete" sets that fetch $20 or a bit more. Sets comprise of many different number of tokens but typically 5 or 6 coins.

That looks like what they are; I told the guy he should have a local coin shop check them out because I didn't want to prick his bubble of hope.
Not Barbers
Hard to tell from the photos, but from what I see I will agree with @AUandAG .
Impossible to be sure from those pictures, however, if they are what @AUandAG has indicated, they have been discussed here many times before. Cheers, RickO
