Thanks - funny how that is...but I agree with you. BY FAR the cheapest of the group....but the most interesting to those of us that have done this for a while . In hand it even looks better.

I think that's exactly right. I've seen countless awesomely toned silver pieces, some very expensive... and yours are wonderful. Gold with that type of toning is much rarer and a sight to behold, even if it's on a not-so-scarce, inexpensive underlying coin.

I used to have a complete (well no 54-S, but I don't count that) SF-mint quarter eagle set, more than two-thirds AU55-58/CAC. Yet, this below was my favorite coin in the set, even though it was one of the few non-AU coins and very inexpensive relative to most of the other coins in the set.
