Here is a picture of my latest raw coin trade with a friend who wanted some nicer Morgan dollars. I traded him a raw 1884-O and an 1887-P that would come in about MS63-MS64 if I sent them in. I did not take a photo of the reverse but it is just as good looking with some light toning. I have it at PCGS for grading currently, so I should have it back in a couple weeks and I will post how it graded. I am thinking about AU55 but hoping for better. It is a 1917-D Type I.

I'd much rather have the 17-D type I Standing Liberty than the common date Morgans. I just hope it doesn't come back as cleaned.
I did not see obvious lines that made me think so, and it still has a nice cartwheel effect to it, but ultimately it is up to PCGS.

This is not true for 1917. Almost all of them have a full head.

The rating just posted, but I do not have the slab back yet. It received AU58. A little better than I thought it was. Always preferred. :-)
